Paige Crosby, M. Ed. CPC I have worked with teens and families for 25 years as both a college counselor at St. Johnsbury Academy, an independent school and at the University of Vermont, Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Franklin and Marshall College. I have worked with families from various socio-economic backgrounds and I also have extensive experience with international students and their families. My work with high school students has given me a deep respect for teenagers as they bloom into? adulthood. I respect their energy, struggles, passions and capabilities while at the same time having compassion and understanding for parents of teenagers as they travel through the sometimes-tumultuous high school years. I chose to become a life coach to help families. Family harmony, happiness and wellness can be fragile to maintain during times of stress, change and separation. I believe that each parent hopes to be a good parent, with positive, rich and supportive relationships with their children. I believe that children long for the same. During times of stress and shift it is difficult to maintain this delicate balance and to be our best selves. I work to support both parents and teens as they move apart—a separation that though initiated at birth and often creates havoc during adolescence. My ultimate goal as a coach is to assist each child in filling her toolbox with life skills and she will be able to use in the most dynamic and effective ways. My passion is to help families find joy and build positive and supportive relationships during this time of potential conflict and burgeoning independence. My view of this journey is joyful and it is not my style to sugar-coat challenges and conflicts. Optimism, practicality, integrity and kindness are the principles that drive my spirit and my life—and my coaching practice. |
