 I was born in Austin and grew up in Brenham, Texas. Earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Texas A&M University in College Station. Began my post- college career as a Computer Inventory Specialist for SORBUS, Inc., a division of MAI Systems, Inc. Then I worked as a Texas All-Lines Claims Adjuster for Union Standard Insurance Company and USAA (United Services Automobile Association). I heard my first calling and earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. Then I worked as an Employee Assistance Counselor for USAA. School beckoned again, and I completed 16 hours of doctoral studies in Social Psychology at The University of Houston. Having married, I decided to focus on work: Part-time as a psychotherapist in the greater Houston area from 1988 until 2011; and, full-time as a Counselor for the Houston Community College System (HCC) from 1989 until 2011.

2007, Certified Anger Management Facilitator, CAMF, for Adolescents and Adults.

2010, Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), Energy Leadership Index--Master Practitioner (ELI-MP).

2011, iPEC, Certified Professional Coach (CPC)
