Clifford E. Montgomery Executive & Career Coach Cliff provides coaching expertise and support to executives and other employees in the following areas: outplacement support, executive leadership, organizational design, talent management/development, Human Resources information systems technology design, career planning, cultural change management, union avoidance and general HR functional and organizational leadership. In his prior role and until his recent retirement, Cliff was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Administration for Teva Pharmaceuticals Americas located in North Wales, PA. In this role, he was responsible for all HR operations, including Leadership Development and Learning, HRIS, Compensation and Benefits and Talent Acquisition, as well as all North American Environmental Health and Safety, Corporate Security and rebuilt a dysfunctional HR organization through selective staffing and organizational redesign. Cliff joined Teva in August 2005 after a 35-year career in HR, including 20 years with General Electric (GE). During his time with GE, he worked in nine different locations in five of GE’s businesses, including spending five years living with his family in Belgium and leading HR for GE Plastics’ European business headquartered in The Netherlands. This was followed by a global assignment as V.P. of Human Resources with The Quaker Chemical Corporation in Conshohocken, PA. This role required him to travel extensively in both the Asia Pacific Region in China, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Australia, as well as South America in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Venezuela, where he established and staffed HR organizations for these two fast-growing regions. After an assignment as VP of HR for the Witco Corporation in Greenwich, CT, he was named Senior Vice President of Human Resources for National Starch and Chemical Company headquartered in Bridgewater, NJ, where he was responsible for all global HR practices and reported directly to the CEO. In this role, he was proud to receive the corporation’s CEO Award for Functional Excellence on behalf of his global HR team. He attained both his BA and MBA on a tennis and soccer athletic scholarship at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and has completed all course work required for an MA in Counseling and Psychotherapy at Rider University. He is a published author with articles featured in “HR Magazine” (1996), “HR Innovator” (2004), and “Inside the Minds of HR Executives” (2005), as well as several recent articles in The Bucks County Herald on the subject of career planning. He remains active all sports, including triathlons, golf, general fitness and tennis and played in the US Open from 1966-69. Cliff has two grown children and lives with his wife Karen in New Hope, Pennsylvania, where he is President of his community’s Board of Directors. |
