I am a wife and mother of two teenage boys. While working with 9th grade students as a Catechist I became aware of the how great a disconnection there was between many parents and their children, especially teens. I felt the need to explore how to unite the two. On my journey I developed not only more fulfilling relationships with my husband and sons, but also with myself. I returned to school for my Certification as a Professional Empowerment Coach and Energy Leadership Master Practioner with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). I then finished my credentials as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Today I continue to teach 9th Grade Confirmation Preparation at Church in addition to Positive Parenting Classes with the Community Prevention Resources of Warren County. My business is divided among Private Client Coaching, Group Coaching, Marriage & Family Relationship Workshops and Skill-Building Programs which develop sustainable results over a period of time. I’m grateful that I was able to listen to the many whispers leading me to change my career path and pursue my dream of loving what I do every day. After graduating from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications I entered the high pressure world of medical marketing and advertising as an account executive. My priorities changed with the birth of my fist child. After attempting to return to work I found myself unable to focus on my work while desiring to care for my son. When I was at work, I wanted to be at home, and when I was at home, I wanted to be at work! A total conflict! I realized my priority was being a parent and raising my children. Like many mom’s I chose to be under-employed at various part-time local positions in order to spend time with my kids. I even opened a home based business or two. I owe a lot of gratitude to my Mary Kay sisters! |
