ABOUT NAN One client of mine dubbed me "a midwife of meaningful lives." It's true: the consistent theme throughout my career has been helping individuals and groups deepen and improve the quality of their lives by listening, helping clarify, providing tools and assisting people in identifying what is working and where improvements can be made. I graduated from Princeton University and have more than fifteen years of experience as an educator, trainer, consultant and facilitator working with very diverse populations--from gangs in Oakland, CA to upper-level management in Fortune 100 companies, from corporations and non-profits to elite private schools and colleges. (I also worked with executives, managers, teachers, and even kindergarteners in Japan!) Today, as a Certified Professional Life Coach and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner, I help my clients identify how their lives are in or out of sync with what is most important to them, and I work with them to make changes to create the life they want. In my personal life, I love to travel. I have made extensive trips to Europe, Asia, Africa and Mexico, and I lived in France for one year and Japan for two. Very happily married with three children, aged 9, 11 and 13, I am devoted to my family. I have a passion for good food and am a huge supporter of organic, local farms. In 2003 I started a cooperative which connects consumers with local farmers who provide grass-fed meat and raw milk products. The co-op now boasts more than 300 families. I also have a long-standing interest in theater. I have acted in and directed over 30 productions in the US and Japan and narrated and dubbed 8 full-length Japanese films into English for Japan Airlines. I have a particular passion for Shakespeare. I received my professional coach training and certification from IPEC, the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, and am a certified Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP). I am an accredited Associate Certified Coach through ICF, the International Coaching Federation. |
