I work with individual nurses, groups and organizations where nurses work, to create nursing leaders who positively influence and inspire themselves and their organizations to become a positive, productive, and successful entity. I am passionate about supporting nurses in reconnecting with their innate gift and desire to help people, as well as helping nurses become powerful leaders in both their personal and professional lives. I knew early in my life I wanted to help people, and the way I chose to was through nursing. However, like many nurses, over the years I became disengaged with the demands and expectations of the “job.” As nurses, we spend much of our time caring and giving to others and too often forget to give back and care for ourselves. One day I realized the passion and excitement I first experienced as a nurse was gone, and I wanted to leave the profession of nursing. While searching for an answer to what might reignite my passion and connect with my purpose, I discovered coaching. The philosophy of coaching and the coaching skills I learned did reignite my passion for the profession of nursing! As a coach, I help nurses become skilled at nursing themselves and become powerful leaders, what I call “nursing the nurse.” I work with: • New nurses transitioning from the educational setting to the clinical practice setting and support their growth from a novice practitioner to a competent practitioner in practice • Experienced nurses wanting to rebalance their lives and rediscover their passion for nursing • New and experienced nurse managers and executives to develop and enhance their leadership skills and increase team productivity |
