 Denice has 25 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and management, organization development, research and training; with nearly half of her career focused on transformational process facilitation.

For the last decade Denice and her team at Managance Consulting & Coaching have focused on transformational strategic planning and leadership transition planning with nonprofit organizations, philanthropies, public agencies and socially responsible companies. Managance did pioneering research in the early 2000's that led to the development of Executive Transition Management (ETM), a strategic approach for planning and managing leadership change. Her first book Hidden Truths: Discovering Your Nonprofit’s Culture and How It Impacts Performance, written with co-authors Paige H. Teegarden and Paul Sturm will be available in 2010.

Denice officially began her career with nonprofits at age 10 volunteering with her mom. Her first full-time position was in Miami, Florida as an assistant administrator for a 24-hour telephone crisis intervention center. She later served as the Executive Director of the Miami Commission on the Status of Women and Voices for Children, and deputy director of Miami Bridge, an emergency shelter for runaway and homeless youth. Denice also helped establish at Volunteer Center at the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. On the national level, as Program Director at the Development Training Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, Denise directed an experimental capacity building initiative with 14 community development organizations in Indianapolis and designed and facilitated an accredited leadership institute for community development professional in Greater Philadelphia.

Denice has an M.S. in Human Services from Nova Southeastern University and a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Florida International University. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the ICF. She is conversational in Spanish.
