Rev. Jacki Belile, CEC, ELI-MP, is a certified empowerment coach and ordained American Baptist minister. Founder of Living Well Ministries (LWM), she supports lives of faith, intention and service through spiritual life coaching, classes and retreats. Jacki's pioneering wellness journey is the foundation of her commitment to individuals and groups who seek greater spiritual, physical and/or organizational vitality. She grew up in a fundamentalist church in North Dakota, attended evangelical Taylor University in Indiana, and moved to Chicago with her life partner in 1990. In 1999, she became the first "out" member of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities to be ordained by the American Baptist Churches - USA. Jacki has served as pastor of two welcoming and affirming congregations: Phoenix Community Church Kalamazoo, MI) and Grace Baptist Church Chicago). Through the itinerant ministry of LWM, she enjoys serving as guest preacher, retreat leader and teacher in a wide variety of ecumenical settings. She is committed to "living from the inside out" and coaches those who, like her, seek wellness in relation to self, God and others. Jacki's current niches reflect her own wellness journey. Her clients include: * LGBT people and their families making coming out decisions; * people of all backgrounds in faith transitions; * people of all backgrounds committed to forgiveness; * clergy and activists seeking balance and self-care; * students seeking tools for integration, balance, and focus Jacki has previously worked in the fields of health ministry and interfaith dialogue. Since 2000, she has led retreats and seminars on topics including coming out, befriending the Bible, forgiveness, balanced living, stress management and spiritual disciplines. Jacki holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Taylor University and a Master of Divinity Degree from Chicago Theological Seminary. She is certified for life coaching by The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. Her hobbies include reading, cooking and improving her music and art literacy. She’s been a yoga student for eight years. |
