Experience & Expertise: Towanna, who is often a keynote presenter on the subject of women in corporate America and on issues of diversity and inclusion, has a combined 20 years’ project management experience with organizations including the Central Intelligence Agency, General Dynamics and Verizon Business. Education & Involvement: Towanna earned her B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Howard University. Towanna’s achievements have also earned her an honorary doctorate degree and numerous awards. She is a member of and has served organizations including: In a Perfect World Foundation; National Association of Female Executives; National Association of Woman Business Owners; and YWCA of Oahu. Leadership & Inspiration: Towanna is most passionate about connecting with and inspiring the leaders of tomorrow. To that end, she created The Young Women’s Empowerment Network, a nonprofit organization established in 1999 to give young women the tools to succeed and become future leaders. Family: As a senior army spouse, she volunteers her time in support of the soldiers and their families in Hawaii. She is a dedicated mother of one daughter and loving wife to Colonel Byron Freeman, US Army.
