Odile Carru

CEO and founder of my company since many years, those past months my level of motivation was low and I was feeling disengaged. My company had been severely touched by the 2009 economic crisis after many profitable years. Odile Carru’s help has been precious in only few sessions. I realized that I have done a lot of things, succeeded in many of them, and that was the result of my hard work and of my sense of duty, all those things that I progressively integrated as part of my “values”. Now and thanks to the support of Odile I am ready to do things not only because I “have to” but because I want to, I mean more aligned with my personality and the “who” I really am, and what I really want. More conscious about that through our discussions, I feel that my day to day duties are more manageable, and that my level of motivation, which was the reason why I contacted her, raise up. I realized that the motivation was in fact more a symptom than the heart of the problem that I now understand; accept, with the feeling of being relieved of a burden. I feel it is time for me to think about my future. 2 years ago we moved with my husband from Paris to Miami and my life changed radically. Although exciting and busy, the first year was tough because everything was new for us. The second year, I decided to think about myself since my family was “settled”. My main question was: what can I do in this country without speaking English? I went to see Odile Carru as a coach. I trusted her as soon as I started to work with her. I felt that she was totally committed to help me, and that she was very professional in the approach of my situation. I first talked with her about my life in general, focusing on the negative aspects which were literally haunting me, and very quickly the negative turned positive. Then we started to work on my real goal: go back to a professional life. I was afraid and I had lost all my self confidence. We worked together on these 2 points, and after several sessions I started to have concrete results: I felt more confident and I started to take action step by step, take English lessons, and thing led to another. Today I have my own company with one of my friend.
I owe that to Odile who has been very professional. Without her I would still be here asking me the same questions about my professional future. She helped me put my ideas up, challenged me sometimes, made me more aware of my strengths and helped me accept myself just the way I am. Thanks to Odile, I reached my objective and I am glad about that. Today I thank her for what she did and I am fortunate that our paths crossed.
