Throughout the coaching relationship - Tom kept refocusing me on my goals. What did I want out of a given situation, what did I want in the short term and what did I want in the long term. That constant reminder to focus in on my goals - and then resolve current issues within the context of that longer term goal - was not only a rational way of working, but the mere exercise was very balancing. The overall experience was a wonderful way to reflect on my strengths and weaknesses. At times I felt frustrated with 'having to deal' with the issues - but always came through feeling very satisfied with having increased my personal insights into the drivers of my behavior - and feeling even better by rebalancing my attentions on the key goals - not just the obstacles in the path towards those goals.

With wisdom and humor, Tom served as a coach to help me adapt my leadership skills to growth and transition within the organization in which I work. He helped clarify the core values that now guide my life decisions and challenged me to find a better balance between work and rest. After six months of weekly sessions with Tom, I am ready to claim my place and purpose in the world with deep joy and gratitude.
